You become a member by purchasing one of our insurances. As Hedvig is an all-digital insurance solution, getting up and running is quick and easy — no paperwork required. Start by getting a quote on our website, or by downloading the Hedvig app from App Store or Google Play.
Switching to Hedvig from another insurance company is easy. It only takes a minute and in most cases we can handle the transition automatically.
This is how it works:
Start by getting a price quote on our website.
Select that you want to terminate your current policy automatically.
Approve the cancellation of your current insurance with BankID.
We contact your previous insurance company and cancel the insurance.
Clear! Your new insurance with Hedvig is activated the same day the old one expires.
Note! We are currently unable to offer automatic switching for pet insurance.
If you’re not registered as a resident in Sweden, and/or lack a Swedish personal identity number, you can’t sign up for Hedvig. This is due to the fact that our payment, claims handling and other services are connected to your personal identity number.
Yes, we do! Our student insurance applies to those who live in a rental property or a tenant-owned apartment. The price starts at 49 SEK/month. The offer is valid for those under the age of 30 whose study rate amounts to half time (15 higher education credits per semester).
No, Hedvig doesn't have binding times. You can cancel your insurance at any time and only pay until the cancellation date.
Yes, thanks to the Hedvig Forever discount, it is actually possible. For each friend you invite to take out their own Hedvig insurance, your own monthly premium is reduced by 10 SEK. You can invite as many friends as you want. You keep the discount as long as you and your invited friend are customers of Hedvig.
