Hedvig currently only offers apartment insurance - both for rental apartments and owned apartments. This insurance also include travel insurance for trips up to 45 days as well as insurance for all your gadgets and items - as long as they cost less than 50 000sek.
No problem. Hedvig takes care of the switch for you. Simply sign up with your Mobile Bank ID and we will activate your Hedvig insurance when your existing insurance expires. You're never without insurance and don't have to worry about terminating your existing policy.

In Sweden you are often obliged by your community to have protection for installations in your apartment if you own it yourself – also called bostadsrättstillägg.
The homeowners insurance includes bostadsrättstillägg.
If you own your apartment and it already includes a bostadsrättstillägg, the same insurance conditions apply as if you rent your apartment. You can, therefore, fill in that you rent an apartment when you sign up with Hedvig. Please ask in the app if you have any concerns!
Unfortunately it isn’t included in your home insurance when you are in your residential country, but Hedvig does of course cover you if you would become sick or get hurt during a trip.

Yes, if your luggage is delayed to your destination you will get reimbursement per delayed luggage. You get 750 sek after a 6 hour delay, 1 500 sek after 24 hours and 2 000 sek after a 48 hour delay. You can in total get 5 000 sek.
No, it is not included in home insurance. Many times you can have cancellation insurance if you have paid with a credit card, so please check with your card issuer. Hedvig also does pay anything for missed flights or costs that arise during a flight strike.
Yes, you can be reimbursed for unused costs for eg travel and accommodation if you or someone close to you, for example, are taken to hospital or have to travel home early (see exact terms in the insurance policy).
Yes, Hedvig will cover the cost to evacuate you in the event of for example a natural disaster, war, epidemic or anything else that causes the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to advise you against being in the country.
Hedvig is paid through direct debit, and it is easily set up through our app.
